Fallison Lake Nature Trail, Sayner WI

Be advised they have a NO PETS policy on this trail. But according to ADA law you can bring your service animal any public place, so please keep a copy of this law with you at all times. I go to www.petjoy.com for Penny's Service Dog Equipment and a laminated version of the law.

Fallison Lake Nature Trail is located in Vilas County near Sayner WI on County N. It features 4 loops ranging from .5 mile to 2.5 mile in length. This is a snowshoe and hiking trail of moderate difficulty (or difficult if you have issues with hills and stairs). There is a variety of hardwoods/pine trees, some Hemlock, bogs, rocks, lakes, and wildlife. The Hemlock here are said to be approx. 300 years old!

I really recommend this trail for training for hiking in the winter or for snowshoeing as a good workout. If you have any walking problems with knees be prepared for the stairs, they could wear you out! This is a photographer's paradise in early morning or dusk with proper sunlight, I recommend it for photoshoots or just general photography work. Always bring water and let someone know where you're going if hiking alone. There is a water source at the half point on the 2 mile/2.5 mile loops and at the trail head.

Directions: From Woodruff travel north 4 miles on Hwy 51, turn northeast for 2.5 miles on Cty M, turn east for 3.5 miles on Cty N to the trailhead parking lot on the south side of the road.
